Why the final amount may differ from the estimate
A floating rate, the time between the estimate and the exchange, network fees of your own wallet: why you may receive a slightly different amount.
The calculator shows a preliminary estimate. Exchanges use a floating rate: the final amount depends on the rate at the time your exchange is processed, not when you looked at the calculator.
What affects the result
Market movement
Crypto prices change all the time. Between the estimate and the moment your deposit is confirmed, the rate may move in either direction.
Time to confirmation
The exchange starts once your transfer arrives and gets network confirmations. On slower or busy networks this takes longer.
The amount that actually arrives
The network fee for your own transfer is charged by your wallet or exchange and is not included in the estimate. Some wallets take it from the amount you send, so less reaches the deposit address.
How to reduce surprises
- Check the estimate right before you create the exchange and send the funds soon after.
- Make sure your wallet sends the exact amount you entered (some wallets deduct the fee from it).
- Keep a margin above the minimum amount: if less than the minimum arrives, the exchange may not proceed as usual.
Changezilla shows the estimate it receives for your pair and amount; it does not promise a fixed result.
Terms in this guide
Floating rate
A rate that is not fixed in advance: the final amount depends on the rate at the time your exchange is processed and may differ from the preliminary estimate.
Network fee
A fee paid to the network for processing a transfer, in the native coin of the network: TRX, ETH, BNB, SOL, TON and others. The network fee for your own transfer is charged by your wallet or exchange and is not included in the estimate.
Minimum amount
The smallest amount accepted for a particular exchange direction. The calculator shows it before you create an exchange; it can change over time.
